Dream Serenade began in 2014 as a way to celebrate and support Toronto's Beverley Street School and its community of teachers and caregivers. In that first year, we were able to fund the design and construction of a new playground for the students of Beverley as well as a year round Respite Fund for families. Since then, Dream Serenade has grown to offer support to other like-minded schools in the city as well as a Summer Bursary program that has assisted over 200 families in accessing summer programming and camps. Since 2020, Dream Serenade has supported over 400 families including the COVID Family Relief Bursary in 2020 and the Family Relief Summer Bursary in 2021. These bursaries were designed to be more flexible in order to better assist families with expenses related to food caregiving and supplies needed during the pandemic. The need and demand for these bursaries has never been higher.
Dream Serenade began as a way to raise funds for our daughter’s incredible school, but it’s become so much more than that. It's become an essential part of our lives, and the ideal way to celebrate this community of inspiring people.
